Engine Cleaning
SkyKleen 1000 has been extensively tested for compatibility with the
metallurgy commonly used around aircraft engines. It is approved and listed
by GE Aircraft Engines (Hand-Wipe Degreasing Procedure 70-21-23).
Effective surface
cleaning is accomplished by wiping with a dampened
cloth. For heavy carbon deposits, soak the area with SkyKleen or lay a
dampened cloth onto the spot and allow some time for the SkyKleen
1000 to penetrate and soften the residue. (If Fluorescent Penetrant
Inspection [FPI] is required immediately following cleaning, insure that
the surface is properly dried.)
