Biodegradability
SkyKleen solvent was tested in a modified SCAS test according to OECD guidelines test 302A and was found to have 100% dissolved organic removed in 24 hours. This meets the OECD guidelines for "inherently biodegradable" and would be expected to be rapidly biodegraded in a domestic sewage treatment facility.

Exposure
As with any organic solvent, SkyKleen aviation solvent should be used with adequate ventilation, and direct skin contact exposure should be avoided by use of proper protective equipment. SkyKleen solvent may cause eye irritation. Use of appropriate protective clothing and chemical-resistant gloves is suggested. Where there is significant potential for eye contact, chemical goggles should be worn and eye flushing equipment should be available. Storage
SkyKleen solvent may be stored and handled without special precautions in mild steel containers and equipment. It is non-corrosive and photochemically non-reactive (per California South Coast District Rule 102). SkyKleen solvent does not contain any ingredients that require California Proposition 65 notification.
